Bella and Jacob Chapter 8 Edward was sitting next to me, in a tuxedo and a beautiful blood red tie. His naturally messy hair stood combed out neatly. "Why, Bella?" he muttered. I looked up at Carlisle and Esme, sitting in the front. They were chatting. Esme turned around, scanning me. Then she cooed "Oh, Bella, you look so cute in that wedding dress! Jacob will be happy." She winked. Carlisle looked around quickly and nodded. They went back to chatting, now mostly about my wedding dress. "Bella, why would you want to marry a dog," he whispered, "who stinks, both physically and emotionally, is dirty, taller then ever?" Jacob grabbed my hand and started on a brisk walk down the sidewalk. "Where are we going?" I asked. "The Mason-" he frowned, remembering Edward's last name (Edward Anthony Masen) "Hotel." he finished. "Where is it located?" "Oh, umm... near the ballet studio. About a block from there, down near the right." I cringed... the ballet studio? I looked at the small scar on my hand, and the other one I felt, on my neck where Edward bit me.
